Hello everybody! Today we shall be talking about some metals and interesting things about them. First up is iron. Most people do not know that pure iron actually does not melt at the temperature that wood burns. Wood burns at ~1100 degrees Fahrenheit, while iron melts at ~2800. Pure iron is also very soft, and not useful for as many things as people think it is. It is actually softer than bronze, so it would be better to have a bronze weapon than an iron one in most cases. If you thought that iron had a high melting point, then you haven’t met tungsten. Tungsten melts at a whopping 6000 degrees Fahrenheit, over double the temperature of iron. This property makes it incredibly useful for light bulbs, and is used in all of them. It is quite rare compared to most other metals, though. I hope you all enjoyed these random pieces of information, and bye!
Tungsten is a creep… Do you know what creep is?
